I Regjeringa sitt framlegg til statsbudsjett for 2024 vert det tilr\u00e5dd \u00e5 kutta l\u00f8yvingane til dei regionale forskingsfonda. Vestland fylkesting ber difor om at Stortinget rettar opp i dette og syter for at midlar kjem p\u00e5 plass. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Behovet for forskingsmidlar vil auka i \u00e5ra framover og dei regionale prosjekta m\u00e5 f\u00e5 n\u00f8dvendige l\u00f8yvingar, fortel Distad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regionalt forskingsfond Vestland har i fleire \u00e5r hatt stor aktivitet, og seinast i juni 2023 har 10 nye prosjekt f\u00e5tt st\u00f8tte. Fylkeskommunen forventa vidare st\u00f8tte fr\u00e5 staten og har difor forskottert midlar for \u00e5 sikra kontinuerleg aktivitet. Det vert sv\u00e6rt krevjande \u00e5 dekka inn eit heilt uventa og uheldig kutt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Distad fortel vidare at forsking og innovasjon er heilt grunnleggjande for \u00e5 lykkast med det gr\u00f8ne skiftet, skapa regional vekst og s\u00f8rgja for at det er attraktivt \u00e5 bu i heile landet, b\u00e5de i distrikt og byar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vestland fylkeskommune har store ambisjonar for berekraftig verdiskaping, og det krev h\u00f8gt fokus p\u00e5 kunnskap og kompetanse. Det er difor lagt vekt p\u00e5 at forskingsmidlar skal vera tilgjengelege p\u00e5 brei basis, for n\u00e6ringsliv, offentleg sektor og forskingsorganisasjonar i regionen. Forskinga er med p\u00e5 \u00e5 utvikla nye forretningsomr\u00e5de og n\u00e6ringar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Regionalt forskingsfond Vestland er den viktigaste \u00f8konomiske kjelda til forsking i regionen. \u00c5 svekka den krafta som ligg i regional innovasjon og forsking er sv\u00e6rt uheldig, seier Distad.<\/p>\n\n\n
