For us in Høyre, politics begins with the people who live in the municipality. Since we got one hand on the steering wheel in governing Nesodden in 2023, we have worked to make your everyday life easier, better, and freer. With both hands on the wheel, we can achieve even more!
The socialist parties want to pursue policies with more regulations, higher costs for people and businesses, and less freedom and flexibility. That is not what Nesodden needs. Our municipality needs more conservative policies. Nesodden needs a strong Høyre.

Høyre’s core issues
No to property tax
It provides both security and freedom to have a surplus in your account at the end of the month. Therefore, it is an important goal for Høyre that you get to keep more of your own income. Unfortunately, many of the socialist parties in Nesodden want to introduce a property tax on homes. For us in Høyre, your house is first and foremost a home, not a tax object. A vote for Høyre is therefore a clear vote against property tax.
Norway’s best place to grow up
A good school is our best tool for leveling social differences. Høyre wants a school that prioritizes knowledge first, sets expectations for the pupils, and trusts the teachers. Although much is good in the Nesodden schools, Høyre has higher ambitions on behalf of our children. We want all pupils to receive an education tailored to them, teachers to have more time for teaching, and our schools to have sound finances.
The «Yes» municipality
Unfortunately, many experience Nesodden as more demanding than necessary, whether they want to build a home, establish a shop, expand a terrace, or get permission for a volunteer event. Høyre wants to make it easier and faster to get a «yes» to good projects. Therefore, we will slim down the bureaucracy, simplify regulations, and remove unnecessary and costly requirements. In Nesodden, we will say yes as often as we can, and no only when we must. We cheer for good initiatives!
You should look forward to growing old in Nesodden
Old age should not be something to dread, but an active, safe, and meaningful phase of life. Høyre wants to strengthen freedom of choice by introducing free choice of care providers (fritt brukervalg), so that you can decide for yourself who comes to your home when you need help. We will also facilitate more housing adapted to the various needs of the elderly, so that everyone can feel safe in their own home.
