Norway takes the lead in the fight against doping

– We want Norway to take a leading role in the fight against doping in sports, says Linda Helleland, Vice-President of Wada and Conservative Party MP.

The coalition parties in the Norwegian Government are currently working on proposed legislation regarding the criminal prosecution of persons who earn money from sporting achievements as a result of doping.

In this regard, a hearing will be held in the Norwegian Parliament on 28th March, where participants such as Hajo Seppelt, an internationally renowned journalist and authority on doping, Anti-Doping Norway, and Erik Røste, President of the Norwegian Ski Federation, will comment on the proposal, and on the current situation as they see it.
